A tradition history
From year 1891, the grandmother Daisy, Nain Maggie, member of one of the Welsh families who settled down themselves in the valley, was the nexus between the first years of the colony and our days, since she was born in 1878 and she died in 1981, to the 103 years.
With his enthusiastic spirit and his lucidity, she transmitted his memories, experiences and customs to us.
She was his granddaughter, Mrs. Lucia Underwood,
who with the aid of his family, dedicated itself to elaborate cakes, breads, scons and homemade candies, following prescriptions and advice of its dear Nain. Thus one of the first Welsh Tea Houses was created de Trevelin, “Nain Maggie”. That it maintains the Tradition of the tea elaborated with fine fibers and accompanied with the most varied exquisiteces.
