From 14 to August 17 we share the 46th National Day of Dorado Fishing, a traditional event that takes place every year in the tourist town of Paso de la Patria, and that is taken as the start of the season Anglers arrived to Step 14 on Friday afternoon and we settled in the Cabaña Don Julian, who we greatly appreciate the courtesy of us.
 
The fishery was scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday, so from Friday afternoon and arriving participants and journalists, on Saturday with a hot day, the NE wind, and a river quite sharply split the 181 boats registered in search of the "tribute", while large numbers of people toured the stands, that every year more and more are being submitted.

It is comforting to see that sport fishermen will put the claw Contests & Parties Fishing despite the attacks suffered by the use of provincial officials and national wait-time to react before the holidays end up being shared and a roast remember times gone.

At 4 pm participants returned completed by the catch of the day Saturday, there were two tournaments, a number of points (cumulative per team) and another for largest (individual), the evening was the traditional choice of Queen of Gold 2009 being chosen Miss Florence Mendoza, and the Princesses Srtas. Florence Vallejos Schulze and Araceli Vela Segovia, all accompanied by music by "Chamamecero" Amandayé.

Again on Sunday from 10 to 16 Hs continued fishing, weather conditions were similar to Saturday, but were caught and released many golds and good size.

At night was the gala dinner, attended by several artists and the presentation of prizes to the winners, this is the grid of winners:

It also gave a special prize to the team "The golden" Paso de la Patria, in part by the constancy of the tournament despite never caught anything, well deserved indeed, on the other hand, following the example of the golden is joined another women's team "the causes" (drunk in Guarani), who had an outstanding performance and managed to qualify.

We observed the presence of the Provincial Wildlife Directors: Sergio Zajarevich and Tourism: Facundo Palma did the obvious absence of the Governor of the Province Arturo Colombi (although filled with posters of people) who had scheduled a meeting with tour operators Paso de la Patria and the operators were waiting for the governor and the solutions to their problems.

So passing this new step in the long staircase of the National Day of Dorado, we continue to hope that - once and for all time-steps are taken to protect the resource and these events can continue calling for recreational fishermen.
