Friday 13 of Abril
Dividing of Cape Town and with 3 hours 30 minutes of flight we arrived at night
at you take care of it of Bulawayo Zimbabwe.
Of the airfield for light aircrafts we went to a Safari Lodge by one estadía of
two nights.
On the following day we fished little in luguna, Black bass, Tilapia. just it
had passed a cold front and the water was frozen.
Saturday 14
That night we early ate a good barbecue (not as good as those of Argentina) and
to the bed.
Following day madrugamos and the 5 estabamos in march for Binga about 400 km,
Eramos 7 in kombi white with connection, a trip of more or less 6 hours with
shutdown for the breakfast
Domingo 15
Binga: We arrived at noon and of imediato we raised to attack ours
houseboat by six nights.
We started off for the Peninsula of Sengwe and berthed for the first night, we
could leave in completes hour of light and to capture some small pieces around
two kilos.
Lamentably everything what it is fished keeps, is a pity because it is a very
good fishing boat and go people worldwide. We gave back all the small fish
except some for bait, the great ones were for the crew of the boat.
Lago KARIBA and river Zambezi
Kariba was constructed between 1955 and 1959, have 280KM of length and until
100M of depth
The Zambezi River is born in the north of Zambia, has 2500KM of length and its
drainage covers a surface 1.390.000 km square
Meremaid Houseboat
This boat is beautiful with all the comforts for 14 people. The concept of
housebouts began many years ago and is private amounts and to rent, it is a
pretty stroll to do in family.
From houseboat and of the boats it is possible to be seen many wild animals like
Elephant, Buffalo, Leon, Rhino, Waterbuck, Kudu, Impala, crocodile, hipopótamo,
also is much variety of birds among them the African fishing eagle.
Fish Tiger
The objective of our trip was to fish the famous fish tiger (Hydrocynus Vittatus)
the record of this variety (Zambezi zone) is of 16.1KG.
Pregiver with great teeth is a fish very that cut as a guillotine, is very
active to first and completes light, a cane of 7 feet medium to heavy with reel
frontal is used or baitcasting and line of not less of 10KG.
We fished generally with decoy Mepps Spinner I number two to five with a great
hook 5/0, filet of he himself fish is cut and it is placed on the hook that
cuelge and does not change driving of the Spinner well
Also model Sorcerer 90 is fished with Rapala or Halco
In this trip I was much successful with a two Mepps I
number silver-plated and a hook 5 (of which it is used for plastic worms)
and with filet largito it is tied like plastic worm. It is thrown, to leave
sinks a little and you bring gathering despacito, the resentment he is muuuuuy
voracious, it jumps of immediate, sometimes it goes and sometimes it comes.
And if it comes leaves you with much loose line, he is very fast, the first 30
seconds is everything a hell, escape generally at this moment, the average of
capture is less of 50%.
We left to fish to 05:30 until 10:00 and 15:00 until it is
darkened. During noon we rested in the shade, frozen beer, jaccuzzi etc., was
very warm with temperatures of 30 to 40 degrees
We fished good units between 5 and 6,5 kg, but the fighters are those of three
to five kilos. the great ones jump little and look for depth.
The boats (type raft) are very comfortable to fish but the motors are old and as
they always see in the photos with problems, this is Africa!
Saturday 21 of April
We loaded everything in the Kombi and 10:00 we started off for Victoria Falls, 4
hours of trip.
In route we stopped to buy traditional chairs and pulled.
Victoria falls: We unloaded the connection in the Azambezi
hotel located on the border of Rio Zambezi, and we went away to take a walk by
the small tourist center and to the cataracts where there is a very pretty
footpath that is called the rain forest and by all means tenés that to take to
pilot and umbrella if you do not get wet!
That night we had supper in the hotel with show of regional musical groups, very
amused.
Domingo 22
After the breakfast we started off for the airport. We flew airlines of
Zimbabwe, éramos the only ones in the airplane and they treated to us very well.
