"La Paz"
In spite of the cloudy water the fishing was good.

Last days we visited the city of La Paz, in the Province of Between Rivers, Thanks to an invitation of the proprietors of the Complex “Surubí Slug”, from the Béliz family, arrived at the dusk to make the fishing on the following day, when arriving we saw that the water of the river was very cloudy, this is not good for the fishing, but we decided that equal we would make the attempt since when the fishermen arrive at the place they must fish with the conditions that find, and in addition we had a Barbarian faith.

Early in the morning Trimming it hoped to us with kills and the boat ready, so we loaded the belongings and we began to sail water above, in this one opportunity we used one of the new boats of the Complex, trucker of 6,20 mts. of length, very pretty and ample, really the water was but dirty of which it had seemed us the previous day, we sailed in search of a place with waters but clear to throw the flies, we went into in the brook “Canes” and found a sector with quite clear water, armed the equipment and flies to the water ........... and the water ....... and the water, we did not have any answer.

Trimming, which one does not surrender nor under the water, it took us to the mouth of the brook, we threw there with bait and decoys of spinning, but the water was too cloudy to obtain some resentment, proposal of the guide: and if we sailed awhile and we go to the opening of the Guayquiraró?.....!we go, and towards we were there, is a trip of about thirty minutes from Canes, we arrived and there was a pretty transparent water backwater in the opening of the Guayquiraró, is a place where there is a helmet of stay and some transport ship of cattle, there is a small canalcito where we saw activity, there they were the flies, we had two resentments and we were mistaken both, we were moving and a powerful resentment of chafalote, also call “pyre yaguá” (fish dog) (Raphiodon Vulpinus), this one time I did not miss and I enjoyed a good fight the fish, this one species is very sport, if they are itch nor either it falls the deceit, or fly or decoy, is very aggressive, throws strong, jumps much, really is a pleasure to capture these fish.

We continued trying but new resentments did not occur, so we sailed minutes until a well-known zone like the Ingá, there the water was spectacular, clean and calm, the place is beautiful, but the fish, even though that we saw activity not gave small ball us, as already the noon were enough past we approached one pretty coast to prepare choripanes, which rich they are in the coast of the river, comfortably installed, in the middle of the nature and silence.

After the lunch we decided to return to the place where we had the only resentments of the day, and towards we were there, of moved Patricia captured other chafalote, very combative and greater than the one than I had fished, in the little short while Patricia nailed very pretty other chafalote, in the short while Patricia nailed grandecito other chafalote, when it already seemed that single she fished Trimming, who had thrown a cane with bait, nailed a pretty one gilded (yellow pirayú-fish) (salminus brasiliensis), very peleador and helped by the force of the water she cost enough to raise it for the photos, would have about four kilos more or less.

We continued mosqueando and again Patricia had resentment, in this one opportunity doradillo chicuelo, of a kilo….kilo and means, that also helped by the corented one much work gave to approach it the boat, as she were already average behind schedule and we were far from La Paz we began the return fishing to the blow, single one piraña (pyre Ana fish devil) (Pygocentrus nattereri) one deigned to take our baits, something that I could notice so much in La Paz as in Corner it is the great amount of pirañas that there is, and the few palometas brave (Serrasalmus spilopleura), that although is of the same family (caracínidos) are not he himself fish, hopefully which they do not transform themselves into the dominant species of the river, because we would remain without little that is.

During this one last route we did not have but captures, so we put motor to him not to arrive very behind schedule at La Paz, in spite of which chafalotes really seemed the fishing was quite good 6 or 7, two gilded, and one piraña.

Finally, if what looks for is to pass a good day of light fishing, with fly or spinning, the diversion almost is assured, if it touches to them, if it only touches to them, are going to capture some piece of measurement to sacrifice, but I am convinced that most of the fishermen it is not going to look for fish but to fish, and that I do not believe that it fails.
 

Our gratefulness to Jorge Béliz, who always is so kind with us, to Trimming that it puts claw so that the results are good, and to all the members of Surubí Slug, them comment that already have inaugurated the new dining room, very coqueto and with balconies to the river, and have incorporated truckers of 6,20 for better service of their visitors.
