A too short day

For those that we live in the county of Buenos Aires and we love the fishing of the gilding, the river Paraná in its different tracts has a special attractiveness. And The Peace is one of the destinations but near for this type of fishing, not alone for their intricate net of rivers and streams but also for the excellence of their hotel industry and the professionalism of their fishing guides.

The city entrerriana of The Peace is to 650 km. of Buenos Aires, on the route national N° 12, very near the limit with the County of Currents.

One day before our arrival, we had spent the night in a cabin next to the river Carcarañá, and when we get up the van it was covered with frost and the one I fry it was really very intense, what made us doubt of the possibilities of to have a good fishing.

Adrián Beliz, son of Jorge Beliz owner of the one complex "Post Surubí"  us waited in the banquina of the port with the prepared craft. He knows the one river as the palm of their hand, since from small it has traveled him infinity of times and it would offer us their service of fishing guide in this opportunity.

The proposal was to prove with given bait those low prevailing temperatures until that moment, and to attempt then with fly if the conditions allowed it.
The day it was presented very beautiful, lacking of wind and with a sun to full.
Not but of forty minutes of pleasant sailing they were needed to arrive to the one stream Sanabria. Adrián commented us that before it was a lagoon, until one growing it broke part of their walls forming a mouth for where the water it began to enter with force in her, evacuating it through several arms.

Adrián turned off the motor before arriving to the mouth, leaving that the boat of  slipped smoothly inside her with the current about thirty meters and then it loosed the anchor, leaving the very short end.
Medium canes of bait casting with small newspapers were the teams that we will use and I eat bait moraines (gymnotus carapo) alive, without using lead since the place was not very deep and the very soft current.
And Adrián's election was really guessed right since we begin to have a itch behind the other of doradillos of an average from one to two kilos. In many opportunities were enough that the brown cacheteara the water so that some doradillo  took it violently. And we went this way traveling span to span the place, lifting the anchor to continue every time that the one itches advancing shrank. Really very amusing.

Has been ideal, given the size of those fish, using teams a little lighter, baits and fishhooks but small, but regrettably we didn't have them.
But of twenty doradillos and very few palometas we had already taken out, when to half afternoon we decide to fish with fly.
We didn't have left but that two hours of light. Joking, I told to Adrián that us it took to a place that I described him as ideal and that  also had much activity of golden in surface. In a moment it stopped the motor of the craft to allow it to derive laughs below quietly toward the mouth at the one called stream The Arrastradero, where he said that they always waited for it one or two gildings. I began to count a joke of which  never listened the end, because when it loosed the anchor and the boat came close to the mouth the water it seemed to boil... The doradillos activity was frantic next to a sunken trunk where small mojarras flew for the air and before a tip of rough in that the water hit forming a turbulent fall. The show was wonderful.

Four or five doradillos had already taken out, when for the force of the current  disengaged the anchor and the boat you encimó too much to the place alerting the fish. For not worsening the thing fastening the one motor, Adrián shortened the rope a little to risk that it released again and it moved away a little the craft. But it was no longer the same thing... alone we could take out three but and then already anything moved, activity zero.
Already late and returning stopped in the mouth of the stream The Vipers, where the current hits the tip of an island forming turbulence toward both sides and in less than fifteen minutes we could take out two gildings but.

The sun was already lowering and although we had a little but of time we decide to give had concluded the fishing day. After to dismantle the teams keeping them carefully, we return seeing the city of The Peace from far with the show of a really very beautiful setting of sun, while we all coincided in the short ones that the days are made when the fishing it is good.
