During the end of week of the 14 and 15 of May of 2005  was carried out in the "Salted lagoon Big", limit between General Madariaga and General Lavalle, the ninth edition of the great competition Gold Pejerrey.

As all the years the "Club of Fishing and Nautical General Madariaga" like organizer together with the Municipality of General Madariga, and companies of first level, gave the fisherman the possibility to enjoy one of the most important encounters of domestic sport fishing, with more than a thousand of participants of different counties that came closer to the city gaucho to live the great event.

Next to Cristian Carriera and Julio Lapenta arrives at the lagoon the day Friday, where we take advantage to make the inscription steps, to lower our craft and to leave it investigated in the park closed, being ahead a little to most of the fishermen that they would arrive between the night of Friday and the first hours of the morning of Saturday.

The cloudbursts of Saturday the dawn complicated the entrance a little of some vehicles, but the collaboration of the cuatriciclos and tractors prepared by the organization helped to that all they could enter to the Club, this task delayed a little the one released of the competition but it guaranteed that all could participate, meanwhile, encounters and chats with friends made interesting the wait.

In a meticulous one to work all the fishermen looked for their place and they began that that serious the first one stage of the competition.

 

They left this way happening the hours of the first stage of the competition, we achieve some pieces, most between the 35 and 40 centimeters, keeping in mind that the measure minimum to present it was until that moment of 40 centimeters, we only sacrifice a pejerrey captured by Cristian that it measured 44 centimeters.

 

Finished the first stage, all the crafts returned to it gives it of the one club, to present their captures, the afternoon  gave us a pretty one moment, with an almost ironed lagoon, the coloring of those fishermen and the crafts accentuated by the weak rays of a sun that  was already leaving us.

 

The fishermen with their you capture, they were formando  line for the presentation, registration and control. Only the pejerreyes bigger than 40 centimeters could be presented, and they began to accumulate the big captures that without a doubt would be stepping the first ones positions.

A pejerrey of 57 centimeters it was until the 17 Hs of Saturday the I number one, but at the end of the one day, the one that was winning with 59,6 centimeters displaces it to the second position, not modifying this in the second day of fishing.

On Sunday to first hour, in the same way that on Saturday the was released final stage of the competition, now the admitted minimum size was of 46 centimeters, we go more or less toward the same place that the one Saturday, with the same teams and the same bait, but us we find with much but activity of pejerreyes that oscillated between the 40 and 45 centimeters, taking the baits that you they found to 1 meter, approximately of depth, although not it lacked the one that itched to 40 centimeters and the one that contrarily him  made to 1 meter 30 centimeters deep.

 

Then of 3 hours of fishing, one hour before the official hour, we gave had concluded our fishing and us we prepare for the great party and delivery of prizes that  would close to the great sport event.

One hour later, the strong horns announced the culmination of the event, the fishermen went returning to the headquarters of the one Club and while the measure captures, you were presented they retired the crafts of the water.
 

Concluded the activities in the lagoon go to the headquarters of the Club León, where  was carried out the lunch and the delivery of prizes with the presence of almost all the fishermen, some relatives, directive of the fishing club, rulers, managers and journalists. 

The general organization was very but very good, including personal of I Traffic guiding the fishermen for the streets of Madariaga, collaborating in the security and order.

I want to congratulate and to thank to the authorities and collaborators of the Club of Fishing and Nautical General Madariaga, to the Municipality of General Madariga, to the auspiciantes that trust it is this type of events and also to all the fishermen that they participated, especially to those who achieved the best you capture, all together achieve a party of the again  fishes sport in the Argentina.
