Recently arrived of Currents and Among Ríos we put on in I
contact with Álvaro Oroza of the
Stay "San Enrique" in the town of Colonel Granada and beside the Big"
"Salted lagoon, we wanted to know as the fishing was of
pejerrey, since every year we begin this fishing in that place, and in spite
of the heat Álvaro commented us that it was leaving good quantity and pejes
quality.
Colonel Granada is on the route Nac. 188 to 120 Km. of Junín and 380 Km. from
Buenos Aires, and the Stay has all the services to happen good fishing days.
This lagoon has around 20.000 there are, its waters are of
a quite transparent green, he/she has some islands to be covered of the wind and
their depth oscillates between a meter and two meters and half.
We arrive last Sunday March 6 at about the 9 of the
tomorrow, (I recommend them to buy bait the the first place that you/they find,
we gave a heap of having returned by Junín to get mojarras, some because it was
not, other they only had big and we lost but of half hour until to get the
mojarras).
We talk a little with "Lalo" and Laura Oroza and we left with Álvaro toward the
one pier, we would be of the departure Álvaro, "the Black" (it guides of
fishing), two friends of Álvaro, my friend Hugo Cankerwort and me, six fishermen
that we fish very comfortable in a trucker of six meters and half of length.
The day it was presented half cloudy, fresh in the morning
and with soft winds of the north, the Black went right to a well-known area as

the pier, we begin to fish little before the ten of the tomorrow, to the

As activity it was not seen in the surface we decide to go proving, we anchor

water while we embodied because he/she lit up a pejerrey, the size was
medianito, among 26-28 cm. and some more than 30 cm., there were some pejes

mojarra as filet, the fishing depth was of 15-20 cm. and those itch they were
given to not more than 15 mts. of the boat.

big ones they don't end up eating, those that were in the tips of the boat threw
toward the one side and somewhere around they captured one or two big and at
once he/she was filled of medium, so that they are given an idea, in a moment I
am cut the line and Álvaro it throws that of him to hook it, when falling it
nailed a peje and it could not take out it, then Hugo Cankerwort that was
embodying puts his line in the water for to attempt it, when he/she goes back
the line it goes out with a hooked peje, really very abundant the pejerreyes, we
were on a cardumen very important, pity that the medium ones didn't let us take
out the big ones, them I comment that those of 25-27 cm. all went from turn to
the water, because but in one hour it is necessary to stop to fish to have the
share (35 pejes for person), even this way in two and a half hours of fishing we
all had between 25 and 30 selected pieces.
We return to the passed Stay the noon, there "Lalo" he/she
had almost clever in the grill a lamb paw, roasted of cow and chickens, this way
that while we took something fresh until is clever the roasted one us we put to
look at the TC 2000, after the succulent lunch we talk a while of he/she fishes
and of several topics to make time, at four o'clock the black, Huguito and me we
leave fishing again, now with the garetear intention in search of some big ones.
The climate had changed, now there was a western quite strong wind, this way
that we cross the line of telephone sticks and to about two hundred meters we
begin the garete that would conclude to the bottom of the horseshoe, with the
sun turned it was perfect for garetear.
Immediately we begin with captures of medium pejerreyes, but our intention was
to take out some matungos, so all went again to the water, already entering in
the horseshoe takes out some biggish ones, before arriving to the bottom and
with the quite cloudy sky (so that the sun doesn't dazzle us) we decide to
anchor in an area where we saw borbollones that seemed of big pejerreyes, it was
this way, we begin to take out pieces of around 35 cm., always blended with some
chicuelos, for my part nailed two or three that should be quite pretty but I cut
the brazoladas of the 0.26 so I could not see them (but it scums they made)
At six thirty we return to the coast since still us it was
the trip until Bragado, but we really round an excellent fishing, great quantity
and good pejerreyes quality, to the moment to already write this me I ate
several fillets fried last por harina, egg and with enough pepper.
I believe that it is a very good moment go to fish
pejerreyes, since doesn't make a suffocating heat, neither a cold that soaks us
those bones, I recommend them that they don't hurry in sacrificing small pieces,
since when they come the big ones they will have the covered share, keep in mind
that the lagoon has 20.000 there are. almost 17.000 apples and not in all sides
there is cardúmenes, prove of entrance with a garete to detect where there is it
itches or look for activity, if they anchor and there is not answer they don't
doubt to change place, although they lose time, since when they find it in
little time they will have the quota.
Finally, those that want to go for Week Santa they make the
reservation in advance makes sure this way the boat and/or the lodging, if they
go with its craft has a very comfortable slope and the road toward the coast it
is in perfect state, if they want to make an aided exit with more reason they
make the he/she reserves que there is already four o five boats for
this type of exits (their cost is of $300 for six fishermen $250 for three and
it includes boat, it guides, fuel and bait, with having left at noon if they
want it and I return to half afternoon).
