“Beautiful Lake”

After ours frustrated attempt of Stone fishing of the Eagle we were transferred to the city of Junín of the $andes, the panorama was there just as in the previous fishing boat, overflowed and very mighty rivers, the Chimehuin River was to few centimeters of the level of the streets and with a speed that all attempt of fishing made impossible, so we decided to follow trip San Martin of the $andes to try to fish in some lake.

In this one city we lodged in the Hotel “Patagonia Plaza”, thank for much this one gentility from its proprietors, really is something difficult to shape in words the comfort and the comforts of this one hotel, I share with you some images.
 

We contacted ourselves with Augusto Mathus, guides professional of fishing and habitual collaborator for our relevamientos of fishing in that zone, Augusto has a vehicle 4x4 for transport of the fishermen, speedboats for the lakes and rafts to float the small rivers and lakes like the Queñi.

We decided to sally first of fishing in the Beautiful Lake, since the rivers were impossible to fish, this one lake is to few km of San Martin of the $andes, it is taken by the route that goes to Villa the Narrowness and to about 35 km there is a poster to the right that 2 km indicate “Beautiful Lake”, is taken by this one way and it is arrived at the coast of the lake.

The lake is medium, with hoisted coasts, and in the far bank to where it disembarks is a water-drainage of a small river, in addition the lake has islands and channels, we began to fish in that zone and we had answer immediately.

We used canes # 8, Patricia a “Orvis” TLS Pro Guide and I one “Throw” 890, the lines were Cortland “QD” (Quick Descent) but in this one 225 case of grains, and the fly that better result gave us was the Woolly green Bugger olive.

We fished many trouts rainbow in little but of three hours of fishing from the 15 to the 18,30, Augusto maintained the boat near the borders and we did you send them towards the coast, as the lake has almost two meters over its normal level were necessary to have well-taken care of with the walls of rushes that were submerged and caused enlistments.

In almost all the route we practically had answer, due to the lack of flash of the hooks we lost several resentments, but a new attack gave the possibility us of revancha immediately, some of the pieces surpassed the kilo of weight widely, still are a little skinny, but with running of the days they will be put more fat people and forts.

The lake really makes honor to its name since he is Beautiful, with an abundant population of trouts, as much rainbow as fontinalis, although of this one last species we did not obtain captures, the very combative trouts that we captured were all of important size and, do not doubt in calling to Augusto to enjoy this one beautiful exit of fishing.
